Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Is The Best Game Show Ever

I got home from work a little bit late last night and turned on my satellite TV to see a rerun of my favorite show, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? Man, Regis Philbin is a hilarious guy. The chemistry between him and some of the boneheads is one of my favorite things about the show. The bonehead contestants that miss the 500 dollar question always get a giggle out of me too. Of course, when you see someone with a lick of sense climb that ladder of questions and score the one million dollars, it is always a fun sight. One day that will be me up there. I plan to check the listeings at DirectStarTV.com to see when more re-runs will be on.

As you get into the upper echelon of questions-the ones that are worth any money-it is understandable to have some difficulty. This is where my favorite part of the game comes into play: the Lifelines. There has been quite a few lifelines introduced since the creation of the game, but the episode i happened to be watching only had the original three. If you were ever in trouble you could phone a friend, eliminate half the possible answers, or you could poll the audience for what they thought the answer was. You could use more than one of these at a time. Sometimes they’d contradict each other, and sometimes whoever you relied on would be wrong. It was really a great way to make a show interesting.
